The bad weather during the open house weekend didn't prevent the visitors from sampling some chemistry. No less than 5000 visitors came to see our chemical plant in Geel. With this large entry we belong to the top three of chemical plants who opened their doors to the public the weekend of 4 and 5 may.

This open house weekend fits into the long tradition of sectorial open houses which Fedichem, the Federation for Chemical Industry in Belgium, organizes. With these initiatives the chemical companies want to emphasize their openness and their willingness to enter into dialogue with all members of the public. Next to Janssen Pharmaceutica in Geel another 41 chemical plants in Belgium participated in the initiative, which resulted in almost 70.000 visitors in total.
